Lying to the north and west of the former site of Spottiswoode House, there are a number of scattered outbuildings which would have served as stores and workshops.
All the outbuildings were constructed of whinstone and dressed stone, with slated roofs. A number of these buildings still survive, even though the house itself was demolished in 1939.
The outbuildings are typical of the varied range of buildings required to support an estate, such as Spottiswoode. Other buildings include stables, kennels, an ice-house, a pig-sty, a boiler house and a dovecot.
