(NT 3900 7415) A single-chambered lectern type dovecot stands c. 100 yds N of Preston Tower. It measures 19' 4" by 17' 3" with a one-way slate roof and crowstepped gables. In a fair state of repair, it contains 985 nests.

DOVECOT. One hundred yards north of the tower is a 17th century dovecot oblong on plan measuring 19 ¼ by 17 ¼ feet and containing over 1000 stone built nests.
