Details in 1948: Output 910 tons per day, 230,000 tons per annum. 684 employees. Campbell Binnie washer. Baths (1935), canteen, first-aid. Electricity, steam and compressed air. Report dated 07-08-1948.

Other Details: Prone to spontaneous combustion and sudden roof falls, it suffered increasing water problems as neighbouring pits closed. An excellent model of the surface arrangement is on display at the Royal Museum of Scotland in Chambers Street, Edinburgh.
