Cramond New Bridge [NAT]

(Undated) OS map [GIS].

For (predecessor) Cramond Old Bridge (adjacent to NE), see NT17NE 1.

This bridge carries the M90 public road over the River Almond on the NW side of suburban Edinburgh. The river here forms the boundary between the parishes of Dalmeny (to the NW) and Edinburgh (to the SE).

The bridge presumably dates from about 1964, when this stretch of road was built to give access to the (then-new) Forth Road Bridge (NT17NW 171).

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 7 March 2006.
