A farmstead comprising one unroofed building annotated Ruin, six roofed buildings, one of which is a long building with an attached Thrashing Machine and another is L-shaped with an outshot, and four enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Edinburghshire 1853, sheet 11). Three roofed buildings and seven enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1962).
