Activities

Field Visit (21 August 1989)

What is probably a shallow house platform is situated immediately downslope from a hollowed trackway on the SE flank of Shaw Hill. The platform measures about 8m across and the scarp at the front is about 0.7m high. What may be a second platform, about 7m across, lies immediately down slope, and a terrace about 130m to the W (NT 1499 2806) would also provide a suitable stance for a timber house.

Visited by RCAHMS (SPH) 21 August 1989.

Sbc Note (21 March 2016)

Visibility: This was the site of an archaeological monument, which may no longer be visible.
