Field Visit (17 June 1991)

NT 1129 0423 NTlOSW24

Situated on a poorly-drained terrace to the S of the Cornal Burn and about 160m SE of Cornal tower-house (NT10SW 1), there are the remains of a scooped enclosure. Roughly oval on plan, it measures about 15.5m in diameter from NW to SE by 12.9m transversely within a grass-grown stony bank up to 3.2m thick and 0.3m high. The entrance is probably on the NE and the interior has been scooped into the slope (on the SW) to a depth of about 0.5m.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS), 17 June 1991.

Listed as settlement.

RCAHMS 1997.
