An 1826 map of the Wilsontown estate (National Library of Scotland, Map Library, ref. no. EMS.P.166) depicts two long buildings on the W bank of the Mouse Water, to the NW of Wilsontown Store (NS95SE 11.09). One of these buildings (that to the NW) is shown roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 25-inch map (Lanarkshire 1864, sheet xx.2) while the other appears as a roofless row of eleven compartments. The ground here has now been afforested, leaving no trace of the NW row, and only a slight rise to mark the SE row.
