These locks in the the Edinburgh and Glasgow Union Canal (NS87NE 31.00: LIN 18) were built as part of the Millennium Link project and as part of the southern approach to the Falkirk Wheel (NS88SE 198). They form a flight of two, and are the most easterly locks in the Union Canal, which is essentially of contour type.
