This bridge is in a somewhat dilapidated state, with the number missing from the east arch, a considerable amount of graffiti scrawled on it and stones from the parapet lying in the water.

This bridge, which runs between open areas of country, is clearly marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Stirlingshire 1864, sheet xxx), on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Stirlingshire 1899, sheet xxx NE), on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map and on the OS Basic Scale digital map (2000).
