The 1976 edition of the OS 1:1250 map depicts what are evidently the abutments of a (demolished) bridge across the River Kelvin at the SE corner of Dawsholm Gasworks (NS56NE 64). This bridge apparently carried the Caledonian Rly branch line that served the gasworks across the River Kelvin, which here forms the boundary between the parishes of Govan (to the W) and Glasgow (to the E).
These presumably represent the 'plate girder bridge' that Hume notes as linking the gasworks with the Forth and Clyde Canal.
