This flat-topped round cairn stands on the summit of Lochend Hill. It measures 31ft in diameter and about 3ft high.
F Newall 1963
At this spot are the mutilated remains of a cairn 10.0m in diameter and 0.8m maximum height. It consists of a turf-covered, flat-topped stony mound with no indication of a cist or kerb. There is an indefinite hollow in its SE quadrant and a prominent pile of stones in the NW quadrant.
Visited by OS (WDJ) 24 November 1963.
Evidence of robbing in NE quadrant of this cairn, which is confirmed to be around 9.5m in diameter.

This heavily robbed cairn is as described by the Ordnance Survey in 1963 and Henry et al. in 1994. A modern rubble-built cairn, measuring 2m in diameter by 1m in height, has been built on its NW flank.
