Name Book 1867; RCAHMS 1971, visited 1960; Information from A MacPhail, Drumgarve to OS.

Activities

Field Visit (May 1960)

Cairn, Gort na h-Ulaidhe, Glen Lussa (Site).

There is no trace left of the cairn that originally stood about 90 m W. of the chambered cairn NR72NW 3. Nothing is known of its size or shape, but the fact that it has been completely removed suggests that it was of small size. It is recorded (Name Book, No. 75, p.15) that a large quantity of human bones was found in it.
