Aberdeen, 19th Mar. The DILIGENCE (sloop), of Grangemouth, was driven on shore yesterday morning about half-a-mile South of Stonehaven, and has become a complete wreck: crew saved.

(Classified as sloop: no cargo specified, but date of loss cited as 18 March 1855). Diligence: this vessel was wrecked 0.5 mile S of Stonehaven.

Registration: Grangemouth. Built 1803. 40 tons burthern.

(Location of loss cited as N56 57.00 W2 10.00).

(Location entered as NO c. 88 84 [N56 57 W2 12]). The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. The vessel most probably stranded in the vicinty of Bowdun Head or a short distance to the S, towards Trelung Ness.
