There are four large granite boulders on the farm of Bush placed at about equal distances from one another in a line running east and west. They were almost wholly embedded at one time but the subsidence of the marshy ground after the deepening of the burn of Lightwood has left them protruding from the surface.
J C Watt 1914.
The 'marshy ground' mentioned by Watt may be the area centred at NO 728 993 adjoining 'Bo Burn'. This ground has been used as a dump for stone clearance and the whole area is strewn with boulders, many of which are in line, rendering identification of this alleged stone row impossible.
Visited by OS (N K B) 6 January 1965.
These boulders were probably no more than glacial erratics.
Visited by RCAHMS 1984.
