18 East Shore, Pittenweem: A late 17th century house of three storeys facing the harbour. It has a central curvilinear gablet, the upper part of which contains a dovecot.

NO 5494 0249. This house, as described, was restored by the National Trust for Scotland in 1973.

Houses in Pittemween.
(1) No. 18 East Shore, which stands facing the harbour near the lower end of Cove Wynd, is a late 17th century house of three main storeys. It has a central curvilinear gablet, the upper part of which contains a dovecot. Above the entrance is an empty panel-space.
(2) At No.9 West Shore is a lintel bearing the date 1624 and a monogram, seemingly W.M.G.B.: the lintel is a later insertion.
(3) THE GYLES, a large tenement at the inner end of the old pier, dates from the 17th century.
(4) No. 10 Cove Wynd is a two storeyed harled house probably of the late 16th century.
