Archaeology Notes

NO50SE 58 unlocated

2 level bunker for ground control interception.

N H Clark 1986.

This account may refer to the Troywood underground headquarters (NO 568 088), for which see NO50NE 30.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 13 December 1999.

The suuggested equation with the Troywood site (NO50NE 30) is accepted by Mr T Buckler, who was once stationed there. He remembers there being a journey of about ten minutes duration from Anstruther village (the 'domestic site') to the underground 'technical site'.

Information from Mr T Buckler, 73 Westfield Drive, North Greetwell, Lincs., 13 January 200.
