See also NO23SE 15 and NO23SE 21.

Cropmarks, including those of round and square barrows, have been identified from air photographs on a low rise adjacent to the public road in a field 310m ESE of Old Rossie Lodge. The main concentration comprises a series of arcs of ditch and indeterminate marks at NO 2955 3094. In the same field, 90m to the NE is at least one square barrow, measuring 7m across, and a possible interrupted ring-ditch 5m across (at NO 2962 3102). A linear cropmark is visible from NO 2958 3095 to NO 2961 3100, running in an NE-SW direction for at least 55m. A standing stone known as the Falcon Stone with its surrounding ring-ditch (NO23SE 15) lie amidst these cropmarks. A barrow cemetery (NO23SE 20) has been recorded 125m to the SSW.
