The tron, to which jougs are still attached, stands in the centre of Meikleour.

T Hunter 1883

The tron is a rusticated obelisk with a hole near its pointed top, surmounted by a tall spike with a weather vane. The jougs are attched to its S face. The obelisk stands on a flat-topped, mutilated mound, 1.0m high.

Surveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS 20 February 1969.
