Place of discovery: NN 8070 4912
Present location: clamped to the exterior of the south wall to the right of the main door to the church.
Evidence for discovery: dug up in a garden in the mid 1950s.
Present condition: broken and worn.
Description
This is the upper part of a cross-slab missing the right-hand edge, carved in false relief with a cross with rectangular terminals and small rounded armpits.
Date: seventh or eighth century.

(NN 8076 4915) A 9th - 10th century cross has recently (1955) been dug out of a garden, and is displayed.

A broken incised cross-slab now preserved in Dull parish church. The finder (D Ligo, Lilac Cottage, Dull) pointed out the spot, at NN 8070 4912, where he dug it up when making a path outside his cottage gate. He recently found a broken rotary quern just inside the gate whilst digging.

NN 8064 4915. The slab is now mounted behind iron brackets on the outside of the church wall to the right of the main door.
