NN75NE 9 7876 5714.
At NN 7874 5712 on a slight rise above a stream gully, is an unusual oval homestead. Although in size, shape and wall thickness it is similar to a dun, the way in which it faces on to good agricultural ground from its relatively poor defensive situation, places it in the same category as Glen Lyon-type homesteads, although its oval plan isolates it from the latter. (See also NN75NE 10, NN75NE 12, NN75NE 18 ).
It measures about 21.0m N-S by 16.0m E-W overall. The heavily quarried, now turf-covered, wall appears to be about 4.0m wide at the level approach on the S narrowing to under 2.0m in the E. The only facing stones visible are three blocks of the outer face in the S, and another in the SE. The entrance is not evident. A small piece of iron slag was picked out of a molehill in the SW arc of the interior.
Surveyed at 1/2500.

Measured Survey (18 April 2012 - 20 April 2012)
WA Heritage was commissioned by the Forestry Commission Scotland to produce detailed measured archaeological surveys of nine ringforts around Loch Tummel, Tay Forest District. The aim of this work is to inform future conservation management plans for the monuments and to provide an enhanced record of their current condition for inclusion in the Historic Environment Records for each site The survey was undertaken over a period of three days in April 2012. A detailed measured survey of each ringfort (and associated features) was undertaken using a combination of EDM and dGPS equipment. This report includes a series of detailed and annotated measured plans with associated contour survey at 1:100; a series of basic unannotated site plans with topographic hachures at 1:500, an enhanced photographic record and written description of each ringfort.
