About fifteen cup marks cut both on boulder and foundation stones were noted at Blairmore (Blarmore: NN 65 37).
J B Mackenzie 1901
Many cup-like depressions are to be seen in the area of Blarmore. One is at the base of the SW corner of the building at NN 6513 3701, others on two boulders about 5.0m to the S, and several on a boulder beside a track at NN 6512 3695. All appear to be the result of weathering.

There are three cup-marked stones amongst the remains of Blarmore township (NN63NE 66). Two have been reused as quoins in the corner of a building, and the third has been incorporated into a dyke.
The first two stones have both been set into the S corner of the N-most building in the township (BL00 1910; NN 65138 37017). The upper stone measures 1.3m in length by 0.55m in height and 0.7m in thickness and has at least 6 cupmarks on its WSW face, the largest measuring 60mm in diameter and about 15mm in depth. The lower stone measures 1m in length by 0.9m in height and 0.6m in thickness and has at least 3 cupmarks on its SSE face, measuring up to 60mm in diameter and about 15mm in depth. The third group of cups is on the upper surface of a boulder incorporated into the dyke bounding the N side of an enclosure at the centre of the township (BL00 1911; NN 65120 36990). There are at least nineteen cups here, some of them arranged in rows, and they measure up to 70mm in diameter and 20mm in depth, with the exception of one very large cup measuring 115mm in diameter and 25mm in depth. Finally, a circular depression cut into the upper surface of boulder immediately SW of the first two stones appears to be modern.
