The ruins of Clachraich Castle are situated on a slight eminence. It is a quadrangular building with a projecting wing, and has had a turretted staircase and arched doorway and window.

All that remains of Clackriach Castle is the NE angle c.7.0m high. The N wall is c.2.7m long and includes part of a window. Remains of a staircase can be seen in the inside angle. The walls are roughcoursed with rubble infilling, lime mortared.
Resurveyed at 1/2500.
Visited by OS (RL) 4 April 1968.
