Wallace's Putting Stone [NAT]

OS 1:10,000 map, 1994.

(Location cited as NJ 8024 2570). This huge mass of serpentine rock is a glacial erratic and is situated on the summit of Barra Hill at an altitude of 190m OD. It lies within the fort NJ82NW 4 and is alleged to have been thrown by Wallace from the top of Bennachie.

Name Book 1867; NMRS, MS/712/80.
