NJ 662 613. A cinerary urn cemetary was discovered in 1961 at Easter Culbeuchly during the removal for sand and gravel of a mound about 50yds long and 15ft high known as Gallows Hill. Possibly five urns were found, two of which were destroyed, the other three went to the Anthropological Museum, Aberdeen. Also found was a 'pygmy' cup which was retained by Mr A Cook, the farmer.

I C Walker and J C Wallace 1963.

Mound natural; otherwise as described by Wallace (1963). The urns are still in the Anthropological Museum, Aberdeen, and the 'pygmy' cup retained by Mr A Cook.

Visited by OS (NKB) 2 February 1968.
