There is a saddle quern beside the front door of Castle Forbes (NJ61NW 11.00). It is probably of granite, measuring 470mm by 350mm and 150mm in thickness. The subrectangular grinding surface measures about 400mm by 240mm and up to 40mm in depth. The findspot of the quern is not known.
