Edinglassie, 'an old building though of inferior note' was burnt in 1690 by some of the highland clans during their march from Strathspey to Strathbogie.
OSA 1796.
No trace of a castle although the tenant at Edinglassie Mains knows the tradition of a castle named Edinglassie Castle at the site indicated. A dovecot, 56.0m to the E, may have been associated. (See NJ43NW 4).
