OS 6" map, Aberdeenshire, 2nd ed., (1902)

A dwelling-house occupied the site of the chapel at Nether Towie in 1866 (Name Book 1866). Its dedication is unknown. The New Statistical Account (NSA) refers to the ruin of the chapel and a churchyard in 1845.

The house is now a tumbled ruin. No further information regarding chapel or churchyard.

Visited by OS (R L) 28 August 1968.

Nothing is visible of this chapel. Its site lies in an overgrown area of ground 40m SE of Nether Towie farmhouse (NJ41SW 147).
