Archaeology Notes

NJ41SW 38.03 4154 1476

This 13m-long irregular structure is located in the easternmost junction of the revetment NJ41SW 38.04. It has a maximum width of 5m, is divided into two, roughly equal, compartments, and has walls 0.5m thick and 0.2m tall.

Visited by CFA, October 1992.

CFA 1993; MS/625/32.

(Reclassified as building (possible)). Situated immediately to the SSE of (2) there are poorly preserved remains of what may have been a building partly masked by clearance. If so, then it was certainly not as long as 13m, as previously described by CFA, and it may be no more than an extension of the S end of the second structure

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, ATW), 28 April 1997.

Activities
