Poldullie Bridge, 1715. Crosses the dark, winding Don by a single 70ft rubble span of considerable grace. Over the

southern keystone is a tablet inscribed 'John Forbes / of /Inverernan /1715'. Long approach on west side.

(Location cited as NJ 349 124). Built 1715 by John Forbes of Inverernan. A single rectangular rubble arch, with steeply-humped carriageway.

This bridge carries an unclassified public road over the River Don, crossing the moderately steep-sided valley from WNW to ESE at an altitude of abut 290m OD.

This high, single-arched stone bridge carries a narrow, metalled road over the point where the River Don sweeps through a narrow rocky gorge, about 160m SSW of Strathdon School (NJ31SW 131). It is built of roughly dressed stonework. Ramps approach the bridge at an angle from both sides, and this is reflected in the line of the parapets, which take the form of a reverse-S on plan. The bridge and its approaches measure 37.5m in length overall, while the road that it carries is 2.8m wide between the parapets. The parapets increase in height towards the crest of the arch, where they are 0.3m in thickness and 1.1m in height. At the apex of the bridge there is a rectangular tablet of polished grey granite set flush with the inner stonework of the NE parapet. Its bears the following inscription in small Roman nielloed capitals: 'John Forbes | of Inverernan | 1715'.
