This Valentine tank was lost by Royal Hussars during rehearsals for the Normandy landings.

Surveying Details

-------------------------

14 November 1984. The tank was dived upon 3 times during 1983/84. The tank is complete, standing about 3.5 metres above the seabed, in decca (n scot) red h 16.8, purple b 55.4. The general water depth is about 16 metres.

The decca co-ordinates plots at 57 41 13N, 003 39 52W.

10 June 1993. A valentine tank was dived upon at 57 41 13N, 003 38 53W. It stands 3 metres clear above the seabed of firm hard sand and shell. No scour pits were observed.
