The railway bridge that formerly stood at this location carried the Speyside branch of the (former) Great North of Scotland Rly over the River Nethy, within the area of the village of Nethy Bridge (NJ02SW 83), immediately SW of the station NJ02SW 26.00, and to the W of the road bridge NJ02SW 28. Both sides of the river here fall within the parish of Abernethy and Kincardine.

This portion of the line closed to regular passenger traffic on 18 October 1965.
