Archaeology Notes

NH80NE 3 8925 0683.

(NH 8925 0683(3). A partially disintegrated cauldron formed of bronze plates rivetted together was found on May 1st, 1964, in Loch Gamhna, 8 ft. from the eastern shore and approx. 300 yards from the out-flow of the loch, opposite an extensive hollow in the bank. The cauldron is unlikely to have been found in situ but may have been pulled up by a fisherman from elsewhere in the loch.
