Archaeology Notes

NG78SW 7 7470 8184

Four hut-circles and a scatter of field boundaries are situated on a SW-facing hillside to the N of the Allt na Glaic Luachraich and North Erradale.

NG 7469 8194: This hut-circle measures 6.2m in diameter within a stony wall footings 1m in thickness. A heap of stone overlies the E arc of wall.

NG 7461 8182: This hut-circle measures 9.2m in diameter within a faced stony wall footing. The interior is levelled into the hillside and is overlain by the footings of a rectangular hut measuring about 4m by 2m.

NG 7470 8185: This hut-circle measures 7.1m in diameter within a stony bank and has an entrance on the SE. There is a rectangular hut close by.

NG 7482 8180: This hut-circle is situated on a slight rise and measures 5.5m in diameter within a stony bank. The footings of what may be a rectangular building abut the W.
