A monolith standing nearly 5ft above ground, 3ft 9ins wide and 2ft 7ins thick.

A grey granite stone as described by Beveridge, bearing no markings.

This block of grey granite stands on peat moorland on the slope below the chambered cairn and round house (NF77SW 15 and NF77SW 24 ).

Field Visit (9 September 1914)
Standing Stone, South Clettraval.
On the south slope of South Clettraval, about 250 yards west-north-west of the ruined chambered cairn (NF77SE 14), at an elevation of 290 feet above sea-level, is a standing stone 4 feet 9 inches in height, 3 feet 1 inch in breadth, and 2 feet 7 inches in thickness, with a considerable growth of peat surrounding its base.
RCAHMS 1928, visited 9 September 1914.
