Located

A conical, grass covered burnt mound measures 11m in diameter and stands to 2m high. It is located in an enclosed field of improved grassland to the rear of inhabited 20th C houses.

Orkney Smr Note

Hillock of Sallwick, Brims is a grass covered conical mound,

about 36ft in diameter x 6ft 6in to 8ft 6in high with a slight

overgrown hollow in the top.

On the SW there are traces of banking of unknown origin but

possibly later than the mound. [R1]

Hillock of Salwick, an irregular turf covered mound of burnt

stones, generally as RCAMS. OS visit 18 June 1967.
