Traditional shieling, one of a large group.

Information from Historic Scotland

This shieling-hut is situated on sloping ground is built of stone and turf, has an entrance on the E and the S gable has collapsed. It is of two compartments and measures about 8m by 4.8m overall. The entrance retains the lintel, but roof collapse precluded further investigation of the interior. The chimney stack is extant and partly built of breeze blocks.
