What may be a township, comprising fouru roofed buildings, one unroofed building and one enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1852, sheet 15). These buildings may be the relic of the pre-crofting township.
Seven roofed buildings and one unroofed building which form part of the present crofting township are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1988).
