RCAHMS noted cairns 'a quarter of a mile E of Nether Linay', which would place them in the midst of long-cultivated land where there is no trace or local knowledge. If, however, 'E' is a mistake for 'W' the description will apply to two of the Tor Ness group of cairns (HY75NE 2).
