HU40NW 12 40668 09760

Centred 4070 0972. Hut remains, water tank and concrete bases recorded N of Compass Head.

A building has been identified at HU 40668 09760 from vertical air photographs (106G/Scot/UK 97 4028-4029, 18 May 1946) at the end of a track still depicted on the current OS 1:2500 scale digital map. Part of the building is also shown on the map as half a rectangle immediately W of a modern mast.

Also visible on the air photographs is a hut at c.HU 40660 09706.
