Field Visit (14 June 2010)

RCAHMS Archaeological Field Survey, Shetland (Unst/Walls)

This subrectangular enclosure stands on a ridge to the NW of the buildings of Pinhoulland farm. It measures 23m from NW to SE by 9m transversely within a wall robbed to orthostats and large boulders. Its SE end appears to be overlain by the NW arc of another enclosure defined by a thick wall and also heavily robbed (see HU24NE 19).
