A mound, once prominent, but now so much destroyed that its character and dimensions are unascertainable.

The son of the Viking Harold Harfager is said to have been buried in this tumulus about 900 AD. Human remains, armour and a quantity of ashes were found here in 1875.

A scatter of loose stones, on a false crest in a cultivated field, remains to mark the site.
