Archaeology Notes

NF72NW 15 727 283.

A bronze ring-headed pin, four bronze pins of post-Roman type, small mediaeval pins, a bronze needle, various bronze nails and a decorated bronze plate were found by Master Kenneth Maclean, Daliburgh, among sanddunes - approximately NF 723 278 at Kildonan and donated, in 1964, to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS).

Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1966.

Dr Maclean, father of the finder who is at present in Edinburgh, stated that the above objects were found in 1963 in an area centred on NF 727 283 and not within the area centred on NF 723 278. No further information.
