ND48NW 9 4309 8606

There is a burnt mound about 600 yards NW of the farm of Barswick.

RCAHMS 1946, visited 1929

ND 4309 8606. A turf-covered burnt mound measuring about 16.0m N-S x 11.0m and about 1.0m high. A fragment of drystone walling and several stones of an indeterminate structure are visible in the eroded W side of the mound.

Surveyed at 1/2500.

About 50.0m to the W is a turf-covered earthen mound about 7.0m in diameter, probably modern.
