Archaeology Notes

NO51NW 259.01 512 167

For 5 Castle Street see NO51NW 94

Evidence was found of continuous occupation in the later post medieval period, but earlier features sparse and greatly disturbed by modern pipe-laying etc. Some medieval pottery and a decorated spindle-whorl found, and a possibly early beam slot survived in the lowest levels.
