Field Visit (22 February 1994)

NX55NW 49 5333 5610

There is a cairn on the summit of Cairnharrow, a hill which rises to a height of 456m OD. The cairn is sub-circular, measuring approximately 12m in diameter, and stands 1.3m high. No kerb is visible and the edge is indistinct on the N arc, where some material has spread downhill. It is grass-covered, with a flat top on which a modern marker cairn has been erected.
