Field Visit (26 April 1994)

NX55SW 83 5415 5427

In a sheltered location on the broad SW ridge of Ben John, between the Auchenlarie Burn and the Laggan Burn, there is a two-compartment sheepfold, which measures 9.8m in length from NNE to SSW by 2.3m in breadth within rubble walls 0.5m thick and 1.1m high. The better preservation of the SSW compartment suggests that it may have been rebuilt.
