The grass-grown remains of two small stone quarries are situated at the base of the ridge on which is situated the Roman watch-tower NO02NW 6. That to the W (NO 0205 2045) lies immediately to the N of the watch-tower, measures about 9m in diameter by 3m in depth, and is open to the N. That to the E (NO 0210 2041) is smaller, measuring about 5m in diameter and 1.5m in depth, and is situated adjacent to the N side of the public road about 30m SE of the watch-tower.
