Icehouse [NAT]

OS 1:2500 map, 1969.

A late-eighteenth-century egg-shaped ice-house is situated about 40m E of Invermay House (NO01NE 85.00). A circular game-house originally stood above the ice-house, but this has been removed.

Activities

Field Visit (September 2003)

A desk-based assessment was undertaken by SUAT Ltd on ice houses in Perthshire and Fife. Field visits were undertaken in September 2003 to ice houses at Monzie Castle, Dupplin Castle, Invermay House and Hill of Tarvit.
