An extensive area of extremely overgrown quarries can be identified along the line of this burn. A drain, or more probably a lade, leaves the stream at NN c. 9305 2461 and flows down the E side of the area.
The 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire, sheet xcvi, 1867) appears to depict the quarries under trees.
